On a sunny Saturday morning John, Stu and Steve gathered in Coniston ready(ish) to take on the Coniston Challenge for Guide Dogs for the Blind. This multi-disciplinary event consists of a 12k bike ride through the forest of Grizedale, a 10k hike to the summit of Coniston Old Man plus a 1k kayak across Coniston Water. Training had been minimal at best, so we knew we weren’t going to be topping the leader board, our aim was just to make to round in one piece and hopefully having some fun along the way.

To cut a long story short, it took us just over 6 hours, but we completed the challenge and raised nearly £600. Donations still being accepted here make a difference .
